This is going to be a huge review but i am sure it will help someone to overcome problems which i faced initially. I am 20 year old girl with medium built. I bought a medium sized cup and tried it on when i was not on my periods. I felt that the cup did not pop n the size is big for me so i ordered a small one which i found out was of the same size as the medium one. I was very disappointed. But when i got my periods, i thought to give this cup a chance n tried it on. Although i thought this is of a bigger size n did not pop inside, but it worked for me very well. I am so happy with the results. No leakage. It is holding it perfectly. I am loving it n never ever looking at maxi pads again.

Long review ahead, but I can’t help it because this product is just that amazing. This product has changed my whole life overnight. I am never ever going back to pads or tampons. I had always been OK with pads, and recently switched to organic cotton pads as they are better for the environment. However this month on my period I started hating the quelchy wet feeling associated with wearing a pad. It got so uncomfortable that I was mentally aware of the pad and blood 24/7 and it was driving me crazy. I ordered this and it arrived on the third day of my period, so my flow wasn’t too heavy. I’ll admit it did take me 5 minutes to get it in. I tried the C fold (with the help of some cold pressed virgin coconut oil as a lube) and when I did get it in it wouldn’t pop, so I had to poke around with my finger and twist the stem to get it to pop. Once it popped, you couldn’t even feel that there was something up there. I felt like I wasn’t even on my period. Everything was so dry and I couldn’t feel myself bleeding at all, neither could I feel the cup inside me. I slept in all kinds of positions and even worked out at the gym. After maybe 6 hours I checked and there wasn’t even a single drop of blood on my underwear. I thought this is too good to be true and maybe my period just ended early. I removed the cup and the blood had neatly collected in it. It was SO easy to remove and wash. This time when I put it in, I used the “S fold” (you can Google it). This was a smaller fold so easier to insert and it popped immediately. The whole thing was achieved in seconds. All in all, I am so impressed with this. Its 300 bucks for a whole 10 years. A pack of pads is for the same price and lasts one cycle. Plus, one pad takes 500-800 years to decompose. You’re saving not only money, but also the environment by choosing this. Plus it is 100000% more hygienic and safer than pads or tampons. This has really changed my life and the only regret I have is that I didn’t get this sooner.

Side note: people are complaining about the pouch that comes with it and how the threads stick to the cup, but I think the company changed that because I received a organic cotton pouch which is perfect.

Ladies, this is a game changer.. I gave it a try only after I got a bad case of infection from using pad, and being moist all the time down there.

I bought M and S since I did not know which one will be better for me. I am 31, and I haven’t given birth. So S size fit me better, and I didn’t have any leakage during the day at office, or at night when I prefer to sleep without inners.

The tulip fold worked the best for me, and the grooves on the cup tail are good for grip while taking it out. I have recommended the same to most of my women friends, who I hope will switch over to this amazing product!

I wanted to buy this product for long time, and finally l am glad that I did. It’s lot better than pad which is irritating a bit and smelly to me, wet. I initially find it hard to use, inserting and pulling out was quite a mess. But with practice, now, I can do it faster. And it is so much better, no leakage, and stem is extremely helpful to pull it out. It is one time investment which is lot less than pads. And it is better than pad in all aspect – environmental, economical, hygienic, space it occupy for storage. Easy to carry specially when you are travelling it takes minimum space.

So I’ve been looking at menstrual cups for around two three months because I was toooo sceptical about using it like is it hygienic? Is it comfortable? Is it easy to use? Answer I got is YES. I’ve always been a fan of tampons and the problem is leakage if you’re on a heavy flow. With the cup in the beginning it was a bit tricky as it did not sit right correctly and leaked a bit but however after the 3rd – 4th day I figured it out well. And trust me the comfort was unimaginable. Watch a YouTube video tutorial for better clarity it will be easier.

Isko lga dala to life zhingalala.
Every girl must try it and you will be free like a bird. This product will liberate you beyond your imazination. Periods and no periods difference khalas. No more rashes smell infection from pads . No more swelling or repeated pad changing regimes.
It will also saves lakhs of rupees on pads. Go girls tuck it up there.

Sirona Menstrual Cups

Sirona’s menstrual cup is a feminine hygiene menstrual product which is fast becoming an alternative to tampons and pads. It is a small, flexible, funnel-shaped reusable product which is made of medical grade silicone.
Depending on the menstrual flow, you can choose from the given three menstrual cup sizes:
  1. Large: Large cup size is recommended for women who are over 25 and have given birth vaginally.
  2. Medium: In case your period flow is a little on the heavier side, you can use the medium sized cup.
  3. Small: If you are a woman below 25 years of age who haven’t given birth vaginally and has a regular menstrual flow, a small cup is recommended.

The flexibility of the cup allows its easy insertion and removal. It is safe to keep the cup in for 8 – 12 hours.

How to put in Menstrual Cup?

Follow these steps to put in the menstrual cup:

  1. First and foremost, wash your hands properly.
  2. Then, fold the menstrual cup in C-fold or punch down fold ( whichever is more convenient for you).
  3. Hold the folded sides firmly in between your thumb and forefinger such that the curved edge is facing away from your palm
  4. In a comfortable position (while standing or squatting), gently insert the cup into your vagina. Ensure that your vaginal muscles are relaxed. It should be placed at a few inches below the cervix.
  5. Rotate the cup once it is in your vagina so that it springs open and creates an airtight seal which would prevent leaks.

Sirona Menstrual Cup How to Use

How to take a Menstrual Cup out?

To take a menstrual cup out:

  1. Ensure that your hands are clean.
  2. After placing your index finger and thumb into the vagina, pull the stem of the cup gently until you reach the base.
  3. Pinch the base of the cup lightly so as to release the seal. Then, pull it down for its removal.
  4. Once the cup is removed, empty its contents into the sink or toilet.

How to Clean a Menstrual Cup?

To clean the cup, you can sterilize it before and after every cycle. To sterilize, simply rinse it normally and then, place it in a pot of water and boil it. While you do that, see to it that it does not sink to the bottom (as it could melt if it comes in contact with the saucepan base). Boil for 2-10 minutes and then remove and allow it to dry.

During your cycle, after removing the cup, empty its contents, wash the cup under cold or warm water and then re-insert it. You may try using a scent free, water-based (oil-free) soap or one of the specially designed menstrual cup wipes or wash options.

Once it is dry, store the cup in the accompanying carry pouch.
